Vervet

We stayed at the Serena Amboseli, where the Vervet monkeys have gotten bold. It scared us by having mosquito netting around the bed, a can of insecticide in the room, and a wafer of insecticide on a small heater to fumigate the room. (It made us cough and we didn't use it.) However, as it was "winter", we only saw one or two mosquitoes.

The highly knowledgeable Agoi took us on game drives the evening we arrived and the morning and evening of the next day (June 22). That is, he drove us slowly around the park with the top of the van popped up. We saw the animals below and other birds. (Links in the text lead to pictures that I think are of less general interest than those with thumbnails—but still worth uploading.)

Good to see Cheetahs on our first evening.
